Blue Diamond Alya aka Blue Alya Embarrassment (a honest review, read please)
*The Hotel - the overall structure view of the hotel is not impressive at all. Looks like a normal living building with six floors and two elevators. Free Wi-Fi at least.
*The Rooms - maybe the only positive thing about this hotel. They look new inside with very fresh interior, small terraces and good view depending on room position, the fridge cooling is good. The beds squeak a little bit, sheets and towels are clean- changed daily.
*The pools - there are two different small pools, one is 130 cm deep and has aqua slides (this one gets the sunlight from morning until 3 pm) and it's quite embarrassing, because the aqua slide work for total of three hours for the whole day. The other pool is a little bigger and deeper, gets to 1.75 cm, and it has sunlight from 3 pm until 5 pm, because other buildings around shadow the sun.
*The pool bars - two bars total one at each pool, they have a menu and serve whatever drinks the menu offers. The cocktails are made by cheap products and this makes them not so tasty.
*Inside building activities - there is one table for tennis and billiard. The fitness looks decent and clean, not a big room tho.
The saunas and the Turkish bath with massages are the most funny thing in the hotel. The lowest price for 30 min massage is 45 euros (it gets expensive with different time and procedures), the massage workers constantly walk desperately around the hotel, pools and beach looking for potential clients. If you don't know it's them, you would think they are some hotel personal walking around all day long doing absolutely nothing.
*The kitchen and dining room - I've been in the hotel for one week and dined three times a day, from breakfast to dinner.
The breakfast food is the most embarrassing thing ever, every day they same thing (eggs, pancakes, the usual greens and the lowest quality of "ham/salami" slices). The chocolate, jelly and honey are low quality small square boxes bought from a dumpster market.
The lunch food are only Turkish dishes with only four choices, which is extremely limited and the food is not aligned with the taste of the guests (not many people would enjoy this type of food). There are a few vegetable and salad choices, you can make your own thing with the products in front of you.
Desserts are okay- some good and some bad, depends on personal taste.
The dinner is same as the lunch.
The kitchen personal are doing their best, but remain limited.
The waiters are nice, quick and well trained with good uniforms but their shoes are different (own shoes), which impacts on their overall appearance.
The dining rooms - one inside the building very small and another one on the balcony with good street and beach view. Depending on the occupancy of the hotel you might find yourself waiting near the doors around two or three minutes, before getting your food (gotta wait for your turn to come, so you can get your hands on a plate).
*Beach and beach bar - the beach is front of the hotel, around 50 meters.
There are lots of lounges to choose from, first five meters is sand and then turns to small rocks which are very uncomfortable. Water is clean and very salty, be careful with the eyes (some people may not like it). Very beautiful sea line and mountain view combined together.
The beach bar - this one is a complete joke. For all inclusive deal when you go there you have to pay for everything?!
Nearby places and activities - there are lots of markets where you can find almost everything. Lots of restaurants and bars with reasonable prices. You can find different activities from skydiving to safari jeep, motors, fishing, skydiving and many more on reasonable prices.
Overall it's an average hotel, no more than 3 stars.
It’s a great place to stay, if you’re not looking for a big resort. The closeness to the beach and the view on Alanya’s old town are a big plus, the small and poor choice at the breakfast buffet and the slowest and inefficient Wi-Fi ever are its main weaknesses.
I didn't stay here, I used the beach of this hotel. Sunbeds were very comfortable. The beach was beautiful. Food was also excellent. Especially eating burger and fries at the sea view was soooo good. I would definitely recommend this place.
